How Does Coaching Work?

Executive Coaching provides a confidential relationship for discussing growth areas, new competencies or challenges that
may not be easily discussed or developed within your organization.

Through respectful inquiry, careful design and follow-up, G2i partners with you to achieve your goals.  Our coaching
relationship takes place in the context of the complex social and political environments that you live and work in day-to-day.
The results that you realize will be from taking new actions and from experimenting with new behaviors.  Working with G2i,
you will focus on what matters, what is more effective, get more satisfaction from your life and work, and achieve greater
success.

Here are the steps in building our coaching relationship:

Complimentary coaching conversation
Explore possibilities and decide if there is a fit between us.

Comprehensive Assessment
Extensive interview is done and an assessment is made of the executive's competencies, strengths and
developmental opportunities.  Often, 360 degree feedback is obtained by conducting confidential interviews with
the executive's peers, boss and subordinates.

Coaching Program
In partnership, using the data from the background interview and the 360 degree feedback interviews, we
develop a coaching program to achieve the executive's and the organization's objectives.

1:1 Coaching
We meet regularly, 1:1, retaining the theme of the coaching program, while working within the day-to-day
challenges that the executive and the organization faces.

Shadowing
Some executives may choose to be observed in the moment, during their busy days, and be given confidential
    feedback about their impact.

Check-in
During the coaching process, re-connect with the executive's manager/coaching sponsor  to determine the
    coaching impact.

Performance Evaluation
Together, we evaluate the impact of the coaching and map out a plan for sustained individual and organizational
    effectiveness.
